Korean Air is the flag carrier of South Korea & is owned by Hanjin Group.The carrier has around 38 Airbuses of various models from A330-200 to A380-800 & around 90 Boeing aircrafts of various models from B737-800 to B787-8.The airline is part of the Sky Team alliance & has code sharing arrangements with most of the Sky Team members.The airline serves 114 international destinations in 50 countries across 6 continents & serves 13 domestic destinations.The airline has 3 classes like all other airlines of this stature & has loyalty programmes in the form of SkyPass .The on time performance of the flights is good .
The announcements are made in Korean followed by English .In flight entertainment seems to be decent & caters to varying audiences from korean ,english & other foreign language films (sadly no Indian films) to documentaries,music of varying genres to games,entertainment for kids & tracking of flight is available.The food options cater to all kinds of food preferences. The veg meal option that I opted for though needs improvement.Beverages both hot & cold as well as liquor is served during the flight.Blankets,pillows & headphones are provided during the flight,toothpaste,brush & disposable slippers are provided depending on the flight duration & timings ,first aid medicines are available on demand. AC power option is available as well as provisions for infants.
I travelled by A330-200 in my first leg were the seating is 2+4+2 in the economy section with A-K seating alphabets.A & K are window seats. A total of 6 first class,24 prestige class & 188 economy class seats are available in this aircraft .Rows 28, 41 at the ends & 42 in the middle will give you extra leg room.6 Toilets can be accessed in the economy section.
During the second leg I travelled by B737-800 were the seating arrangement for the economy section is 3+3 with seating alphabets between A-F with A & F being window seats.A total of 12 prestige class & 126 economy seats are available. Rows 28 & 34 will give you extra leg room.2 Toilets can be accessed in the economy section.
